I’ll be on BBC Essex radio with Tony Fisher on Monday 4th December at around 2/3pm to talk all about it. Hope you can listen in X 🙂 While other parts of life are a bit rubbish right now, this is a major feat overcome for me x I hope you enjoy it as much as I did writing it x

Beckley Laundry is more than just a laundry business…

Run by the effervescent manager, Sandra, and her feisty team of girls, the launderette becomes a place where more than just clothes are washed. It’s a place where more than one kind of dirty laundry is aired between its walls.

This is a funny, quirky and poignant tale of a group of strong women, but not all is as it seems. Between them, they harbour some dark secrets. Fearing that boyfriend, Martin, is having an affair, Sandra enters the world of Internet dating in her search for love and acceptance… but she finds a lot more.

It’s not just the witty banter between the girls, and the many colourful customers, that beats at the heart of this story, it’s the secrets and lies.

This is a story of love, betrayal, loss and the power of secrets.

It’s funny, it’s sad and it’s dark.

Can the bonds of love and friendship between these beguiling characters save them?

This story says that anything is possible if we stand together and learn to love and forgive…
