Life hasn’t been easy lately, but I have some very tough times ahead; they’ve actually begun already. A film really worth seeing! ‘Philomena’ a drama about teenage mums in the hands of Catholic nuns in Ireland in the 1950’s

Saw ‘Philomena’ yesterday and give it 5* as I couldn’t fault it Judi Dench and Steve Coogan were brilliant at depicting Philomena Lee and Martin Sixsmith (journalist) as they set out to find Philomena’s son, who’s birth she had kept secret for 50 years.

It’s a drama but has a few funny bits and left

My book review of ‘The Man in a Haystack’ by Alice Huskisson

What struck me first about this book was its honest approach and wonderfully bubbly writing ‘voice’. Alice is obviously a naturally gifted writer and editor; since she has self published a book this good, just with the help of a few friends!
