World Mental Health Day is on 10th October this year AND it’s the 20th Anniversary of the day. It was set up in 1992 and it is a lovely occasion to celebrate and raise awareness for all of us involved in mental health and illness in one way or another.
So, I would like to ask my lovely readers to comment below and share with everyone who visits the page what their thoughts on this day please. Think of:
- Are you doing anything particular to support the cause on that day?
- Are you doing anything to support mentally ill people on that day?
- Are you doing anything to raise awareness of mental illness on that day?
- What are your thoughts about the day?
- Do you know of any events happening on that day?
- Do you have any links you would like to share about that day or events on that day?
And, of course, any other comments you would like to make.
I, personally, will be spreading awareness of mental illness across the internet that day, to reach as many people as I can, and in the evening, I will be attending my psychology class at college.
In the meantime, here’s an interesting link to a pdf online that I have found - CLICK HERE TO VIEW (it will open in a new window) - which is c/o the World Federation of Mental Health.
Thanks and have a super lovely day!

I will be spreading the word across social media and my blog. OCD Awareness Week also covers that day, so I’ll be doing a lot of writing that week for that and Mental Health Awareness Week. I’m looking forward to it. Thank you for the reminder!
Hi Tina,
That sounds great! And thank you for reminding me about OCD Awareness week - I have also suffered with OCD (still do actually) so I shall be really interested in seeing what you write
