My NHS psychotherapy consultation sessions are several weeks apart and today I have been given one option - group analysis or nothing on the NHS. A scary prospect, and on top of lots of other things this week, I am pretty stressed and have been in another depression. However, I do use all my CBT and ‘use the senses’ skills and I get through as ever!
Has anyone had ‘group analysis’ before? It’s different to group therapy as it’s a lot more in depth and can be stressful she says.
If I decide to go into the group analysis, it will be for an hour and half every week for eighteen months - pretty impressive if I can get through that!
I start my second counselling skills training in September too, which I am really excited about - so it will be ‘from one side of the desk to the other’ so to speak
So glad I have my cat and kitten as they are like self therapy - never underestimate the power of animals! Animal therapy and cat therapy for calming, relaxing, responsibility, nurturing and pleasure 🙂
