I have a lampshade with buttons on it in the shape of a heart. It gave me the inspiration to put buttons on other things. I have had a hoard of button from my late Great Aunt, and have just kept them but they are so pretty I wanted to do something with them. I ordered a few more buttons from ebay, so I had a mix of vintage and brand new, went out and got some lamp shades, table lamp, mirror, photo frame and recycled one of my own table lamps and hey presto I spent the weekend on it.
Now, normally I would promote mindfulness in writing or by using our five senses, but this weekend I had a lot to get out of my mind and so I needed to be doing something different. And it worked! For me and for the results!
